Welcome to NASEAT® – Your Advocacy Journey Starts Here

Train to become a Non-Attorney Special Education Advocate™

What is NASEAT®?

NASEAT® stands for Non-Attorney Special Education Advocate Training™. It is the first comprehensive training program of its kind—created by advocates, for advocates.

Designed for parents, educators, and community members, this course equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to become a confident, informed, and effective advocate in the special education system.

Offered in partnership with PASEN, NASEAT® empowers you to navigate IEP meetings, understand legal frameworks, and stand up for students’ rights.

What is a NASEA®?

A NASEA™ is a Non-Attorney Special Education Advocate™—a trained professional who supports families through the special education process.

While not a lawyer, a NASEA™ understands IDEA, Section 504, and local policies and helps parents navigate IEP meetings, evaluations, and disputes.

NASEAs are problem-solvers, collaborators, and champions for children with disabilities. They are knowledgeable in procedural safeguards, educational rights, and effective advocacy practices.

Most importantly, a NASEA™ empowers families to make informed decisions and ensures schools uphold every child’s right to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).
